You have taken everything from me. My home, my love, my children- all are gone. All destroyed by your fearsome strength and fearful subtlety. You have taken my dignity, and my life from me, all to serve your ferocious gluttony.
I have been a coward- I have fled and I have hidden, and in every shadow I was afraid. No, I AM afraid, but you have pushed too far. But now -at last- I am so very angry. Whatever happens next is because you came to me. You came seeking, I know not what, but you will find terror and truth in my torment.
I may not survive, but I swear that you will suffer: I swear it upon all that you have taken in your reckles
I am stone immortal- watcher of the ages. Cut from the living rock that
was my home, and hewn to shape by their frenzied hands. I am set upon the
greatest of monuments, and given the grandest view of each human
accomplishment. I see their empires rise, only to fall and rise once
more. I see them as a whole, with all the hurried industry of insects,
and all the caution of a raging fire. All they touch is consumed, changed
to suit their purposes, yet still they hunger for more. They turn upon one
another, in their great and terrible wars, killing all those that stand
against them. They fall by the thousands, millions, maybe more.

What the hell is up with the weather in New England hating on Halloween? Last year we had a huge (for the area) snowstorm really early in the season, and now we're getting another massive storm practically a year to the day (totally different type of storm, so I guess Mother Nature frowns on repeat performances). Oh well, c'est la vie, I just hope this isn't an indication that winter is going to follow in the footsteps of it's fore-bearer and turn into an unspeakably mild affair... and with that I conclude my inane rambling on the weather.
If you're a fan of Evil Dead trilogy, I highly recommend checking out Evil Dead: the Musical. I went
I've been a lurker on DA for about three years now. I enjoy looking at the work of so many creative people from all over the world, and really marvel at the variety of talent displayed here.
My own creative endeavors are received fairly well by the few close people I have shared them with so far, but being people close to me I have to take everything they say with a grain of salt. I am hoping that by posting a few pieces here I can get some feedback as to what I might improve upon. With luck, someone will find the little bit that I've written as entertaining as I do. :D
